Funeral Service
for Comrade Ed Weber Scheduled for Today at 2:00 PM

Sunday,
May 7, 2006 - Our
fellow Legionnaire, Ed Weber, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2006
at his home surrounded by his family. There will be an American
Legion Funeral Service held today, May 7th at
2:00pm. It will be held at Price Funeral Home,

Comrade
Weber and his family were beloved members of our Post and were
in the social quarters constantly to enjoy a good meal and to
share stories from the past. We will miss Comrade Weber
and know that he is in great hands with the Commander of us all.
Our prayers go to his wife, Doreen, and the children of Comrade

177 Color Guard Posts Colors at U.S. Court of Appeals for
Veterans Claims Conference

Legion Post 177 Color Guard Posting Colors as Patty Trujillo,

The
American Legion Post 177 Color Guard were invited to Present the
Colors at the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, Ninth Judicial Conference this past Monday morning. The event was
held at the Grand Hyatt Washington.
Members
Posting the Colors were Bill Anderson, Katherine Kucera, Brenda
DiMichele, and Jerry Whipple. Also in attendance were Jim Brown,
Al Doehring and Commander Mark Duke.

Memorial
Benefit Held for Sgt. Gordon Misner, II on Sunday, April
30th
|

A
Memorial Benefit was held in the Ballroom at Post 177 this past
Sunday for
Sgt.
Gordon Misner, II, who was killed in Iraq on February 22, 2006.
An American Legion ceremony was performed by Post 177
Legionnaires. Local Patriot Riders were in attendance as they
lined the entrance with American flags.
There
was food, live music, and raffles. All proceeds will benefit the
children of Sgt. Misner.
