Executive Committee Meeting

The Executive Committee meets on the first Wednesday of every month to discuss and act upon Post 177 business and activities.  All members are welcome to attend.

Regular General Membership Meeting

The Regular General Membership Meeting is held on the second Wednesday of every month.  Post 177 business and activities are discussed and voted on by the general membership.  New members are voted in. All American Legion Post 177 members are encouraged to attend.

Building & Grounds Committee Meeting

The Building & Grounds Committee meets on the first Tuesday of the month to discuss major renovations, maintenance, and repairs.  All members are welcome to attend.

Independence Day Parade

Every year, Post 177 participates in the City of Fairfax Independence Day Parade with a float, Color Guard, and assistance from numerous members.  Afterwards, the Post puts out food for everyone to enjoy. More...

Annual Family Picnic

Each year in August, American Legion Post 177 puts on a Family Picnic FREE to all members.  This is probably the biggest event of the year and we all look forward to a great time. More including photos from 2005 Family Picnic...

Sunday Breakfast

Each month, Post 177 sponsors an all-you-can-eat breakfast in the Main Ballroom.  The different units of the Post rotate each month to serve the breakfast.  One month it will be the Regular Legionnaires, the next month the Sons of the American Legion, and then the Auxiliary.  This is one BIG breakfast for just $7.00 per person.
